7. The Pillars of Health

Hello Desk Dwellers!

If you're new here: welcome! Thank you so much for subscribing for updates on our progress in building this platform and community. It's been about a week or longer (who's counting?) since we sent our last update, and in case you missed that, we have put the contents of our last e-mail on our website.

In that e-mail, we asked for your feedback. What are you looking for in Healthy Living for Desk Dwellers? We have already received some responses, with good insights for us. Thank you for that!

It's not too late to send your feedback, it's always welcome. Read that last e-mail and send us your suggestions!

The Pillars of Health

Let's actually talk about Healthy Living today. From the start, the Healthy Living Manifesto was there on our website. You probably agreed with it, or you wouldn't have subscribed!

The new thing we introduce today is the Pillars of Health Framework. We have put the article about the Pillars of Health framework on our website.

Truly, grab a cup of tea and sit down to read this one. There is also a reflection exercise included. Estimated time to read + reflect: 15–30 minutes. If you want help with interpreting the model, or the reflection exercise in regard to your personal situation, please let us know by replying to this e-mail.

Read the Pillars of Health article here.

Next steps?

We are still processing the feedback we have received so far, and have not fully decided on the next steps, to be honest. It's always a possibility that we continue to share health-related knowledge in a low-tech way, such as this article.

At the same time, we're slowly deciding on the tech stack and tech solutions for the forum and the website itself.

We are building this thing in public, and will continue to be fully transparent about the process. The vision for the future is slowly emerging, but we're not throwing a lot of "planning ahead" in this process of building the platform and the community.

Something we are stuck on is the monetization of it all. Should we? Should we not? If yes, what should be monetized? Will it put people off? On the other hand, our work and knowledge isn't free, but it saddens us that we have to play the capitalist game.

If you have brilliant ideas around this, share them with us, please.

Greetings from behind our desk!
